A nod to our Music & Artistic Director’s ancestry, the 2022–2023 Season opens with a varied selection of pieces from Eastern Europe. With music that is evocative and rarely explored, this program highlights music written by some of Baroque Bohemia and Poland’s most prominent composers. Showcasing virtuosic sonatas written in the stylus phantasticus (“fantastic style”), artfully crafted fugues, and so much more, La Grande Bande’s fourth complete season launches with a varied selection of works for violins and continuo.
